A house fire occurred on Wednesday about 5:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Jarvis Avenue in La Cañada. The fire started in the kitchen and spread to the third floor of the home. Los Angeles County Fire Dept. had knocked down the fire in about 45 minutes. There were no injuries, according to Stephanie English, LACoFD spokeswoman.
