Sept. 1
4600 block of Hillard Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a call concerning a traffic hazard. Upon arrival they found a vehicle parked perpendicular on the street. They found the four windows of the vehicle open slightly; the vehicle was in the neutral position with the emergency brake on, a pocketknife with the blade exposed was on the driver’s seat, a cellphone was on the floorboard and a bent curtain rod was on the floor of the passenger side. Other items deputies found in the vehicle did not belong to the owner. Deputies also discovered the key ignition port was damaged and the plastic cover to the key ignition port was on the driver’s floorboard.
The incident occurred overnight.
