The 9/11 Remembrance Motorcade is taking place on Friday, Sept. 9. According to organizers, the motorcade is on Friday for two reasons: the first is that 9/11 is on Sunday and the motorcade doesn’t take place on Sunday; and on Friday the local schools are open giving students the chance to observe the classic vehicles that will passing most of the public schools.
According to Dwight Sityar, one of the organizers of the motorcade and a member of the Early Rodders car meet, 50 classic cars are expected to take part in Friday’s event along with safety personnel.
The map below outlines the planned route. The motorcade begins at 8:45 a.m. at Ralphs Market in La Crescenta.
