Aug. 16

100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to the service station regarding a possible assault with a deadly weapon. The victim reported that as he was exiting the store he witnessed a suspect exiting a black Mercedes SUV that was parked in the No. 2 gas pump. As the suspect walked toward the victim he grabbed a firearm that was located in the pocket of his exterior plate carrier (a type of tactical vest designed to hold ballistic plates that protects the wearer from gunfire).

The suspect approached the victim and then stopped about two to three feet from the victim. A witness who was a few feet behind the victim pulled him away from the suspect and both parties walked away. After walking away from the suspect the victim noticed the suspect had returned to his vehicle. The victim was able to take a photo of the suspect’s license plate. The suspect was described as a White male with a bald head, wearing a green shirt, tan plate carrier and burgundy pants. He also had a heavy Armenian accent. The witness reported that while he was exiting the store the suspect was walking toward him and the victim. The suspect yelled at them but neither were able to make out what he was saying. The suspect approached them, the witness pulled the victim away and both parties walked away.

The incident occurred at 8:44 p.m.

 

Aug. 15

2200 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a family returned home to find numerous rooms had been ransacked. The windows of the home had not been secured before the family left the residence. Deputies found the screen from a window had been forcibly removed.

The residential burglary occurred between 7 p.m. and 11:20 p.m.

 

July 29

4800 block of Fairlawn Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, when the resident and his  family returned home from a vacation they discovered several rooms in their home had been ransacked. He reviewed the alarm notifications and was advised he had received multiple notifications. Video footage revealed unknown individuals in his backyard. One person was wearing a bucket hat and a dark shirt, dark pants and gloves and carrying a large blue colored bag with unknown items followed by another person wearing a dark shirt, brown pants and gloves. Both individuals (suspects) were walking in the backyard toward the front of residence and out of view.

The residential burglary occurred between July 29 and Aug. 15.
