Glendale police officers arrested 24-year-old Maria Trujillo of Los Angeles for possession of narcotics.
On July 26 at approximately 1:17 a.m., a Glendale officer stopped a vehicle at Lowell Avenue and Honolulu Avenue in the City of Glendale for failing to stop at a red light. As the officer contacted the driver, identified as Maria Trujillo, he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A DMV check revealed Trujillo’s driver’s license was suspended.
Officers searched the vehicle and discovered individually wrapped narcotics that included cocaine, Ecstasy, Psilocybin mushrooms, amphetamines, Xanax, methamphetamine, Oxycodone, a glass bottle containing Xanax pills, various packaging materials and U.S. currency.
As a result of the investigation, Trujillo was placed under arrest and booked for Possession for Sales of a Controlled Substance (11378 H&S) and Transportation for Sales of a Controlled Substance (11379(a) H&S).
The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
