Aug. 1

700 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a man parked his vehicle at the location and went for a hike. When he finished the hike he got into his vehicle and drove home. He noticed at the time that his car was not locking anymore when using the key fob. When he realized the issue he began looking through his vehicle and found items were missing, including credit cards. He was notified that a person unknown attempted to charge items at Dollar General and Food 4 Less in Sun Valley. It was discovered the front side door lock had been punched. 

The vehicle burglary occurred between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. 

July 31

900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that as she was shopping in a store at the location she was “bumped into” by an unknown person [suspect]. The suspect was described as female, Hispanic or Armenian, about 35 years old and was wearing a straw hat, beige blouse and beige pants. The victim and suspect walked together into the store at the same time and the victim commented on how nice the suspect looked. While in one of the aisles at the store, the suspect bumped into her. Shortly after that the victim checked her tote bag and noticed her wallet was missing. The victim felt that suspect had taken her wallet. Deputies reviewed surveillance footage and found the suspect entered the store wearing a beige hat, a white and blue flowered dress and beige top. She was then leaving the location quickly. 

The incident occurred at 1:30 p.m. 

July 26

Briggs Avenue, north of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a woman reported that her catalytic converter was stolen from her vehicle between July 26 and Aug. 2.
