CVWD Customers Suffer Service Interruption

On Saturday, July 28 at around 5 p.m., a 16-inch water main was damaged by a Southern California Edison subcontractor that was installing new power poles near the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Los Olivos, on the northwest end of Rosemont Middle School’s soccer field. Crescenta Valley Water District crews worked to repair the pipe.

Customers lost water immediately after the pipe was damaged but CVWD was able to temporarily provide water to many of its customers. Water was then shut off to customers in various neighborhoods from Pennsylvania to Briggs avenues at 10 p.m. on Saturday night so crews could resume repairs.

Water was fully restored to customers by late morning the next day.
