July 29
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a cellphone was stolen from an unlocked locker between 2:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m.

 

July 28
2300 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, a car battery was stolen from a vehicle. The victim had surveillance footage that showed a red vehicle pull up next to his vehicle and a possible Hispanic or black male and Hispanic female exit the vehicle. The male opened the hood of the victim’s vehicle and, while he was removing the battery, the female acted as apparent “lookout.” They two then got into the vehicle and left the area. Another video surveillance showed the male suspect to be about 5’10” tall, weighing 175 lbs. and wearing dark clothing and a black baseball cap. The woman was described as 5”5” tall, weighing 180 lbs. with long brown hair tied in a pony tail, wearing a yellow top, camouflage pants and sandals. The theft occurred at 9:30 a.m.

 

July 27
2200 block of Del Mar Road in Montrose, a car battery was stolen from a vehicle overnight.

2400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, the interior of a vehicle was ransacked, a computer tablet and the car battery were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

 

July 26
3000 block of Gertrude Avenue in La Crescenta, a package was stolen from the front of a home between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

July 25
3100 block of Cloudcrest Road in La Crescenta, a wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

400 block of Georgian Road in La Cañada, a computer laptop and bag were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

2900 block of Gertrude Avenue in La Crescenta, cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

3100 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a sports jacket, vehicle registration and an insurance card were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

July 4
3000 block of Saint Katherine Drive in La Cañada, the front windshield and driver’s side window on a vehicle were smashed, apparently with a rock, between July 4-27.

 

Aug. 1
Briggs Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, deputies received a call concerning vandalism to a bus stop at La Crescenta Avenue and Mary Street. The description of the suspect was that he was a transient. Deputies arrived and after an investigation saw the suspect and gave chase. They arrested the transient for allegedly vandalizing the bus stop at 5:35 p.m.

2900 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a resident returned home to find his front door open and rooms in the residence ransacked. Several firearms were reported stolen. The CV Sheriff’s Station received the call concerning the burglary at 1:21 p.m.
