The Falkon robotics team is now accepting applications from fourth through eighth grade students for the 2026 FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League program.
Online applications are due on Saturday, Aug. 8 no later than 11:59 p.m.
The LEGO Robotics Program will be hosted at Crescenta Valley High School at 2900 Community Ave. in La Crescenta on Mondays from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Aug. 24 through Dec. 14.
Students will learn the basics of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and apply their skills in a competition while learning and building teamwork skills along the way.
Families accepted to the Robotics Program will be asked to provide $250 per participating child to cover registration fees and materials throughout the season. Registration fees will be paid separately following acceptance into the program. If accepted, registration refunds are possible only by emailing friends@cvrobots.com before Oct. 5 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Payments via PayPal will only be refunded the amount paid, less the value of PayPal fees.
Refund requests made after Oct. 5 cannot be honored.
Those who have multiple students interested have to fill out one application per individual student.
As many students as possible are accommodated; however, space is limited and applicants are not guaranteed a spot on the robotics team.
