July 24

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, an informant told a deputy that he had witnessed a man carrying a full bag of purses that still had their tags on them walk out of a store without attempting to pay for the items. He was able to film the suspect with his cellphone. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, described as a White male wearing a black T-shirt, taking multiple purses from the store and walking out the door with them. He appeared to have cut the purses’ security wires with a cutting tool.

The theft occurred at 12:14 p.m.

 

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee reported and surveillance footage revealed a person [Suspect 1] enter a store through the front entrance with another person [Suspect 2]. They both walked to the back of the store toward the accessories and grabbed multiple wallets and handbags. The two suspects walked out without attempting to pay. When the employee confronted the suspects they ran eastbound in the parking lot toward a newer model black Nissan Altima sedan. As the suspects ran they dropped a bag of items.

The suspects entered a vehicle and left the area at 2:22 p.m.

 

800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a man reported that as he was walking his dog eastbound on Foothill Boulevard he passed a man, described as a White adult who at the time was wearing a white T-shirt and tan shorts and sitting on the bus stop bench. While seated the suspect kicked the man’s dog in the face. The man stopped to check to see if his dog was okay when the suspect stood up and yelled at him. The man walked away while the suspect continued to yell at him. The man contacted deputies fearing the suspect may become more aggressive.

The incident occurred at 4:36 p.m.

 

July 21

3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a male suspect approached the front of the store where several barbecue grills were located and began wheeling one grill to the front parking lot area. He placed the grill into a waiting older model gray minivan that had major front-end collision damage. The van then left the location.

The informant from the store described the suspect as a Hispanic adult male, 6’ tall and weighing 200 pounds. At the time he was wearing a white shirt, khaki shorts, red tennis shoes and a red bandana on his head.

The theft occurred at 3:05 p.m.

 

4700 block of Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident reported that she was unaware that her vehicle’s battery had died and she was not able to lock her car via the key fob.

Her vehicle was unlocked when several items were stolen overnight.
