On Saturday morning, as community members were volunteering at the monthly scheduled cleanup of the La Crescenta off-ramp of the Foothill (210) freeway, they found more than just the typical discarded fast food trash. They came across garbage bags that were filled with what looked like marijuana.
“It was marijuana,” confirmed Lt. Mark Slater, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept. – Crescenta Valley Station. “It [looked like] just trimmings waste from the plants.”
Sheriffs did not give an estimate of the dollar value of the marijuana.
The investigation into the ownership of the marijuana is ongoing.
