Joseph V. Sanchez was in court on June 22. His preliminary hearing was continued to Aug. 20. 

Sanchez is facing seven counts alleging lewd acts with children under the age of 14 and one count of possessing child pornography. The charges were filed by the office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

At the time of his arrest on Dec. 20, 2025, Sanchez was employed by a third party contractor Covelo, and worked at several Glendale Unified School District schools as a special education assistant.
