Applications are presently being accepted for the Crescenta Valley Youth Town Council. The council is an elected position and serves as a youth advisory group in La Crescenta.

Representatives from the CV Town Council mentor CVYTC members.

To apply for candidacy, students must: 1] live within Crescenta Valley High School district borders (they do not need to be a CVHS student), and 2] must currently be enrolled and in good academic standing in a high school or high school-equivalent program, such as a home school or independent study program.

If elected, members of the Youth Town  Council must commit to attend two public meetings every second and third Thursday of the month, in addition to any additional meetings or work that is required for the CV Youth Town Council. The time commitment is approximately two to three hours per week. Failure to fulfill these requirements may result in suspension or removal.

CV Youth Town Council members will be elected by their peers – any student, ages 13-18, who live within the CV High School district borders – in an election that will take place at the La Crescenta Library community room on June 25. The top seven vote recipients will be sworn into a one-year term in the CVYTC,
