Update May 29

LA County

On May 29 the Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health confirmed 50 new deaths due to COVID-19 bringing the total of deaths to 2,290 in LA County.

As of May 27, the City of Glendale reported 79 deaths to COVID-19, La Cañada Flintridge reported five deaths, Eagle Rock reported 12 deaths, Sunland 14 and Tujunga 11. In the unincorporated areas of LA County, Altadena reported five and La Crescenta/Montrose has reported one death.

As of May 29 Public Health confirmed 1,824 new positive cases of COVID-19. The increased number of new cases includes 500 cases that were backlogged from one laboratory, according to Barbara Ferrer, director of Public Health.

The total of positive cases of COVID-19 in LA County is now 51,562. This number include 965 cases reported from the City of Glendale, 50 in La Cañada Flintridge, 177 in Eagle Rock, Shadow Hills has reported 10 cases, 148 cases in Sunland and 122 cases in Tujunga. In the unincorporated areas of LA County, Altadena has reported 146 cases and La Crescenta/Montrose has reported 29 cases.

Eagle Rock
Ararat Convalescent Hospital has 16 staff members who have tested positive, six residents tested positive and three deaths due to COVID-19.

Glendale
Autumn Hills Health Care Center has 24 staff members who have tested positive, 57 residents tested positive and 12 deaths were due to COVID-19.

Chandler Convalescent Hospital has eight staff members who have tested positive, 28 residents who have tested positive and seven deaths.

Glendale Adventist Medical Center D/P SNF has one staff member and two residents who have tested positive.

Glendale Healthcare Center has 10 staff members who have tested positive, 10 residents who have tested positive and three deaths.

Glendale Post Acute Care Center has 23 staff members who have tested positive, 48 residents who have tested positive and nine deaths.

Glenhaven Healthcare has 15 staff members who have tested positive, 18 residents who have tested positive and five deaths.

Glenoaks Convalescent Hospital has nine staff members who have tested positive, 52 residents who have tested positive and 10 deaths.

Griffith Park Health Center has one staff member who have tested positive and two residents who have tested positive.

Leisure Glen Post Acute Care Center has 32 staff members who have tested positive, 65 residents who have tested positive and five deaths.

Leisure Vale Retirement Home has three staff members and three residents who have tested positive.

Park Paseo Independent Living has zero staff members who have tested positive, four residents who have tested positive and one death.

Royal Vista Care Center has 11 staff members and two residents who have tested positive.

La Crescenta
La Crescenta Healthcare Center has 14 staff members who tested positive for COVID-19, 18 residents tested positive and there were four deaths due to COVID-19.

Montrose
Montrose Healthcare Center has 21 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19, 34 residents tested positive and there were 11 deaths due to COVID-19.

Montrose Springs Skilled Nursing and Wellness Center has 15 staff members who have tested positive, 15 residents who have tested positive and three deaths.

Sunland
High Valley Lodge has one staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, two residents tested positive and one death due to COVID-19.

New Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has 37 staff members who tested positive for COVID-19, 45 residents tested positive and 10 deaths due to COVID-19.

Shadow Hills Convalescent Hospital has 12 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19, 14 residents tested positive and there were five deaths due to COVID-19.

Tujunga
North Valley Nursing Center has one resident who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Oakpark Healthcare Center has 16 staff members who tested positive for COVID-19, 15 residents tested positive and there were five deaths due to COVID-19.
