Glendale Fire Dept. has responded to a fire near Brand Park. The fire, titled the Brand Incident, is in steep terrain and as of 4:07 p.m. forward progress of the fire was stopped; 3/4 acre was burned. Crews will remain on scene mopping up for an extended period of time. One minor injury of a Pasadena fire fighter was reported.
Twelve engines in total have responded including 12 from GFD, four from Burbank and one from Pasadena fire departments. Los Angeles Fire Dept. provided water dropping air support.
“Crews are making good progress,” said Cheryl Getuiza, GFD spokesperson.
She added that although there is wind it does not seem to be a concern as of press time.
