1100 block of Lavender Lane in La Cañada, several items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
April 26
2300 block of Los Amigos Lane in La Crescenta, a woman reported silverware was stolen. The silverware is not normally used and was last seen at Thanksgiving. The residents had workers in the home between the last time the silverware was seen and when it was found to be missing.
The theft occurred between November 2018 and April 26, 2019.
April 25
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, someone entered a store and stole a watch that was on display and held by a security cable. The cable had been cut.
The theft occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 7 p.m.
April 24
2900 block of El Camino in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle overnight.
April 22
400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a witness reported seeing some suspicious activity in the parking lot of a store. According to the witness, a driver, described as a male black, was sitting in a parked black four-door Mercedes. A short time after the witness saw the driver, three men “walked rapidly” toward the car. They were holding loose items in their hands. They all got into the Mercedes and drove out of the parking lot. Deputies contacted the loss prevention officer at a nearby store who told them he witnessed the three suspects walked toward the woman’s shoe department looking around suspiciously. After about two minutes he witnessed a suspect with shoes in his hand walking toward the door at the front of the store. The two other men, also holding shoes, did the same. He witnessed them leave the store without attempting to pay for the items, get into the waiting Mercedes and leave the area. All three suspects were described as male black; suspect 1 was about 20 years old, 5’10” to 5’11” tall and weighing 130 to 140 pounds. Suspect 2 was 5’8” to 5’10” tall and weighing 130 to 140 pounds. Suspect 3 was described as 5’11” to 6’ tall and weighed 180 to 200 pounds.
The thefts occurred at 3:35 p.m.
April 15
900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada, a suspect entered a store, took several technology items from displays and shelves, and left the store without attempting to pay. He was described as a male black, 20-to-30 years old with short black hair and a thin build. At the time he was wearing white pants, a dark blue sweatshirt and red shoes. The suspect was carrying a brown backpack.
The theft occurred between 7:05 a.m. and 7:08 a.m.
