There were 46 new deaths due to COVID-19 announced today, April 21, by Public Health Los Angeles County at its daily briefing. This brings the total of deaths in LA County to 663; 89% of those who died had underlying health conditions.
There were also 1,400 new cases of COVID-19 announced. This includes 734 cases from a backlog of tests by laboratories that do not have the online reporting capability set up with Public Health. This brings the total positive cases of COVID-19 in LA County to 15,410. This number includes 369 positive cases reported in Glendale, and the City has reported seven deaths. There were 33 cases reported in La Cañada Flintridge, 63 in Eagle Rock, 46 in Sunland and 35 in Tujunga. In the unincorporated area of LA County, ANF there is one to four cases reported and in La Crescenta/Montrose there were 13 reported.
