4600 block of Lasheart Drive in La Cañada, a lug wrench, car jack, lug-nut key, backpack with survival gear and tool kit/first aid kit were stolen from the trunk of a locked vehicle at 4:13 a.m.

 

April 11
3100 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta, two pairs of sunglasses, cash, phone chargers, an iPad tablet case and a backpack were stolen from a locked vehicle between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m.

900 block of Flintridge Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident received a notice to her cellphone from her home’s video surveillance system. The video showed a man, described as Caucasian or Hispanic, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, two-toned blue and gray hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and dark blue New Balance shoes with a white “N” on the side, walk up the driveway toward the house. He then is out of video sight for a few seconds. When he returns, he walked away from the home. The home is secured with gates, alarm and video surveillance.
The man did not appear to enter the home. The incident occurred at 7:58 a.m.

3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee stated that, as she was working in the cosmetic department, she noticed a woman wearing blue pants and white shirt with her hair pulled in a ponytail. She reportedly recognized her as the same woman who had been in the store last month and had stolen items. She witnessed the woman walking around the store grabbing items from the shelves and placing them in a tote bag she was carrying.
The woman then left the store without attempting to pay at 5:10 p.m.

4800 block of Tocaloma Lane in La Cañada, two gift cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

4800 block of Tocaloma Lane in La Cañada, a car battery was stolen from one unlocked vehicle and another vehicle had the interior ransacked at the location overnight.

 

April 10
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee reported that several items were stolen from the cosmetic department of a store. Surveillance footage showed two men enter the store and walk over to the cosmetic aisle. They took numerous items off the shelf and walked toward the door of the store to exit. It appeared that when the men exited, however, they no longer had the items. The employee reported that 46 different cosmetic items were missing.
The incident occurred at 7 p.m.

5700 block of Summit Crest Drive in La Cañada, a purse was stolen from the master bedroom of a home and a sliding glass door was shattered at a home between 8:54 a.m. and 10:22 a.m.

Descanso and Chevy Chase drives in La Cañada, a realtor reported that four of his open house signs were stolen between 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, the front door of Walgreens was pried open and the pharmacy glass door was smashed by three suspects described as: Suspect No. 1, 6’01” tall, weighing 175 lbs. and at the time wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light gray sweats, gloves and a black bandana covering his face. Suspect No. 2, 6’ tall, weighing 170 lbs. and at the time wearing a light gray hoodie pulled tightly around the face and light gray sweat pants. Suspect No. 3, 6’ tall, weighing 170 lbs. and at the time wearing a dark blue hoodie pulled tightly over the face and dark blue sweatpants.

Foothill Boulevard at Moore Street, Glendale, Glendale police conducted a vehicle stop and cited the driver, a 40-year-old man, for suspicion of possession of marijuana at 8:50 p.m.

 

April 9
2500 block of Janet Lee Drive in La Crescenta, a resident was cleaning her garage on Monday evening when she found what appeared to be a grenade. Her husband had recently passed away and it was found among his possessions. She notified the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept.- Crescenta Valley Station that, in turn, contacted the LASD Arson and Explosive Team. Investigators discovered the device was hollowed out and not a threat. The incident occurred in the evening.

5300 block of Pineridge Road in La Crescenta, several rooms were ransacked and a jewelry box, a single-barrel shotgun, and other personal items were stolen and the sliding glass door was shattered between 9:25 a.m. and 10:05 a.m.

 

April 7
700 block of Lynnhaven Lane in La Cañada, cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 2:12 a.m.

 

April 6
1700 block of Earlmont Avenue in La Cañada, the driver’s side passenger door window was smashed and binoculars were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

5100 block of Crown Avenue in La Cañada, clothing, cologne, a laptop computer and iPhone were stolen from a locked vehicle overnight.

5000 block of Princess Anne Road in La Cañada, sunglasses and a bag were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

800 block of Lynnhaven Lane in La Cañada, personal information was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

April 4
2800 block of Commonwealth Avenue, La Cañada, the interior of a vehicle was ransacked and a men’s shoulder bag was stolen between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m.

 

March 31
2300 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, a vehicle was vandalized with several scratches while parked on the street at the location between 12 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.

4500 block of El Camino Court in La Cañada, a woman reported parking her vehicle at the location. She had two small red pill bottles that contained jewelry in bags in the trunk of the car. She noticed a person, described as a male Hispanic wearing a blue shirt and blue pants, near the trunk of her car but thought nothing about it at the time. She later discovered that her jewelry was missing.
The theft occurred between 8:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.

 

March 29
Angeles Crest Highway at mile marker 52.85 in Angeles National Forest, a passenger side rear window was shattered and a global positioning system, a state park pass and wallet with personal information were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

2400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a woman parked her vehicle in the parking lot of the location. When she returned, she found that a piece of her rocker panel molding and a hub cap wer stolen from her vehicle between March 29-31.

 

March 27

5400 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident received a call from the alarm company concerning her home. She found the rear sliding glass door to the home was shattered. Nothing was reported stolen.
The incident occurred between 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.

 

March 26
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that she and friends were driving a 2009 blue four-door Chevy Malibu in the area but got lost. She parked the car at the location and she and a passenger went to ask for directions. They left a male passenger, a 21-year-old man, in the car. When they returned they found the vehicle was missing, as was the man they left in the car. Sheriffs were able to find the male passenger at LAX.
The car theft occurred at 10:25 p.m.

 

March 25
2700 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta, currency, keys, jewelry and personal information were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in an unlocked garage between 8:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.

4600 block of Crown Avenue in La Cañada, a resident reported while in her kitchen she noticed a black vehicle parked in front of her residence. She reportedly saw a male, described as black in his 30s with a black shirt, walking around her neighbor’s home. The man opened her neighbor’s mailbox and grabbed several pieces of mail. He then got into his vehicle and drove away from the area.
The theft occurred at 4:30 p.m.

 

March 15
Foothill Boulevard and Sunset Avenue in La Crescenta, three tires were punctured and a the front passenger side door was scratched on a vehicle between March 15 and April 1.

 

March 18
3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a resident gave permission to her apartment manager to unlock her apartment door to allow plumbers into her home. She later found several pieces of jewelry were missing.
The theft occurred between Feb. 23 and March 18.
