2700 block of Montrose Avenue
in Montrose, a vehicle was vandal-ized with scratches on the right side paneling between 2:05 p.m. and
2:37 p.m.

 

400 block of Foothill Boulevard
in La Cañada, while shopping a woman placed her purse in the child seat of the shopping cart. When she went to pay for the items, she discovered her wallet was stolen between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

 

April 11

1000 block of Fairview Drive in La Cañada, a resident reported finding his unlocked vehicle had been ransacked and items were stolen. Surveillance footage revealed a woman walking toward the vehicle. She entered the car through the front passenger door and began rummaging through the interior of the car. A man then walked up to the vehicle with a flashlight and also began rummaging through the interior of the vehicle. As the woman continued to rummage through the interior of the vehicle, the man got out of the vehicle and began searching the trunk. The man and woman then left the area on foot. Later footage showed a newer model SUV drive
in the area; when the neighbor’s motion detector light turned on the vehicle quickly left the area.

The theft occurred between
2:23 a.m. and 2:26 a.m.

 

April 10

4700 block of La Cañada Boulevard in La Cañada, a locked vehicle was ransacked overnight.

 

4300 block of Encinas Drive in La Cañada, a vehicle was vandalized with scratches to the passenger side and the front roof rack was tampered with overnight.

 

April 9

2900 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a resident reported soon after she left her home she received a call from her alarm company that there was an alarm activation at her home. She returned to find her front door and patio door slightly open, and her purse and jewelry stolen between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.

 

2800 block of Fairway Avenue in La Crescenta, tools were stolen from the locked bed of a truck overnight.

 

April 7

1900 block of Tondolea Lane in La Cañada, credit cards and personal information were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Once the owner of the vehicle discovered the missing cards he called his bank and discovered someone had used one of his cards at a grocery store and gas station. The vehicle burglary occurred overnight.

4500 block of Cypress Drive in La Cañada, jewelry was reported stolen from a home that was being remodeled between Dec. 9 and Feb. 28.
