No License = No Driving

On April 11 at approximately 10:20 p.m., an officer observed a van speed through a solid red light at the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Colorado Avenue. The officer conducted an enforcement stop on the driver and discovered that the driver had never been issued a California driver’s license. 23-year-old Hubert Medrano of Compton was subsequently arrested for driving without a license.
The same day, another officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Verdugo Boulevard. The officer conducted an enforcement stop on the driver, identified as 25-year-old Gevorg Gezukarayan of Glendale, and discovered that his driver’s license had been suspended. Because Gezukarayan’s license was suspended, his vehicle was impounded and he was subsequently arrested for driving with a suspended license.
The Glendale Police Dept. encourages people to remain home to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. LA County guidelines prohibit social gatherings and require social distancing when engaged in essential activities. Engaging in non-essential activities exposes households to unnecessary risks of spreading infection.
GPD officers continue to proactively patrol the city, respond to calls for service and serve the community.
Report suspicious activity to 9-1-1 if it is an emergency, or call (818) 548-4911 if it is a non-emergency; remember, stay home and stay safe!
