Community Forum on Public Education
The 4th Annual Community Forum on Public Education will be hosted by the PTA on Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.

The event will be held at the Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Ave., Glendale. The topic covered will be Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Common Core Assessments. Guest speakers include senior fellow for Common Core Systems Implementation Nancy S. Brownell and Ron Bennett, CEO School Services of California.

The forum is free and open to the public.

GHK Prepares for Taste of Glendale
Taste of Glendale, which benefits Glendale Healthy Kids, is slated for Wednesday, April 30. This event is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and helps raise funds through the generosity of restaurants in the Glendale community.

It’s an evening of fun, friends and delicious food! Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for children; 5 years and under are free.
