Sgt. Dan Suttles of Glendale Police Dept. said the injuries were to both of her legs and her hands. She was transported to Huntington Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

It is undetermined whether the tree is part of Los Angeles County Conservancy or Glendale Open Space, said Lorenz. That determination has yet to be made. The cause of the tree falling is under investigation.

“The City of Glendale did send out public works regardless of who is responsible for the tree so that it can be cleared from the neighborhood,” said Lorenz.
