Glendale police and fire departments received a phone call today, Wednesday, at 4 p.m. that there was an explosion at Toll Middle School, 700 Glenwood Road, Glendale. Students from Hoover High School and Toll were conducting a science experiment that was supervised and approved by the school when a bottle exploded.
“There were six minor injuries. Five of those were Hoover students and one was a Toll [student]. Two students were transported to the hospital. The science experiment was conducted in an outdoor cafeteria area of Toll,” said Tahnee Lightfoot, spokeswoman for Glendale Police and Glendale Fire departments.
