March 2
300 block of Meadow Grove Street in La Cañada Flintridge, a driveway gate was damaged when it was apparently forced open by person(s) to gain access into a yard. Once there, suspects, described as four males in hooded sweatshirts, entered the property and threw toilet paper across the two front yard trees. They also spelled LCHSF (deputies assumed this in reference to the La Cañada High School football) in rice across the lawn. The incident occurred at 1:20 a.m.


March 1
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a suspect described at 6’ tall and weighing 150 pounds wearing a plaid hooded sweatshirt, grey shorts and white shoes entered the AT&T store and stole two cellphones that were on display. He then ran out of the store at 2:20 p.m.

800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in La Crescenta, a person(s) attempted to gain entrance into a home through a locked glass kitchen window. A garden tool was discovered on a patio table near the window and a hole in the kitchen window was consistent with the gardening tool. The attempted burglary occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.


Feb. 28
1900 block of Verdugo Road In La Cañada, the third row seat was stolen along with other items including an iPad from a locked vehicle while it was parked at the UA Theater. There was no sign of forced entry. The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.


Feb. 27
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a purse, cash, book bag and iPad among other items were stolen from a vehicle. The owner was not certain if the vehicle had been locked; there were no signs of forced entry. The incident occurred between 2:50 p.m. and 4 p.m.

4800 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada, a resident reported going to her closet safe to retrieve cash and discovered the safe, which was not bolted to the ground, had been stolen. The safe was on the floor in the back of her closet. The incident occurred between Nov. 25 and Feb. 27.
