Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries
Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m. The Glendale Fire Dept. encourages all residents and businesses to change the batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Be sure to test the alarms whether battery operated or hard wired to ensure they are working properly and replace the alarms immediately if they are not working.
Almost two-thirds of home fire deaths result from fires in homes with no working smoke alarms. Eighty-percent of child fire fatalities occur in homes without working smoke alarms.
