The LA County Recovery in Focus: Speakers Bureau in the coming weeks will continue to feature experts on key wildfire recovery topics, including employment assistance, debris removal, housing assistance and resources for business owners, among many others. The next speaker is LA County Assessor Jeffrey Prang. He will be speaking on Friday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to noon at Pasadena City Hall (front steps), 100 N. Garfield Ave. in Pasadena.

The Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office is providing property tax relief and information about extended tax deadlines for residents and business owners impacted by the recent wildfires. As part of the LA County Recovery in Focus: Speakers Bureau, Prang will share important information about tax deadline extensions and property tax relief programs, including the new Misfortune and Calamity (M&C) e-form that simplifies the process for homeowners and businesses applying for reassessment due to fire-related damage.

Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang leads the largest local public property assessment agency in the nation. His office of about 1,400 appraisers and support staff are dedicated to creating an accurate and timely property Assessment Roll. This year, the Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office conducted more than 2.5 million real estate and business assessments valued at more than $2 trillion.
