Last Sunday’s Founder’s Day celebrated the 101st birthday of Montrose. Hundreds turned out for the day long celebration that included the weekly Harvest Market with expanded kid’s attractions, information booths on local organizations, merchants’ booths and sidewalk sales. Vistors enjoyed two live bands as they dined on specialty menu items from local restaurants.

An award ceremony in the afternoon gathered local officials from both the city of Glendale and Crescenta Valley Town Council as they helped celebrate the town’s birthday.

As with every birthday celebration there is cake and this event was no exception with a ten layer cake decorated with roses from Montrose Bakery was shared with hundreds of well wishers.
