2200 block of Stonyvale Road in Tujunga, a resident reported that while he was sleeping a person/persons entered his home and stole valuable paintings and artwork. He told deputies he was in the process of moving out of his home due to the fact he was ordered by probate court to sell the house so the proceeds could be put toward a medical account to pay for his expenses. He is a quadriplegic resulting from a motorcycle accident several years ago. He told deputies he had several original oil paintings and other artwork. He is concerned his art was stolen by someone he knows.
The theft occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 8 a.m.

4500 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada, a person/persons smashed a window in a garage between Feb. 16 and Feb. 19.
Feb. 14
3100 Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a woman reported that she was walking from her vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of her apartment when she saw a man, described as black, about 6’4” tall, weighing 175 pounds with short hair, standing next to a red truck about 10 yards away from her. The suspect approached her and forcefully pulled her purse from her hand. She tried to hold onto it but was not able to do so. The man pulled her purse away as she yelled for help. The suspect ran away and got into the passenger side of a white color vehicle that was waiting on Foothill Boulevard. A witness told deputies that he heard the woman scream and saw a white Dodge Challenger 2017 or 2018 with tinted windows and Huntington Beach paper plates driving down the driveway toward Foothill Boulevard. He saw the person in the passenger seat was a black man with tattoos on his arms.
The strong arm robbery occurred at 4:25 p.m.
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, the store manager reported witnessing four suspects, described only as two male blacks and two female blacks, enter the store and walk toward the back towards the cough medicine area. They began to fill their bags with cough medication. The store manager recognized two of the bags as Walgreens bags and two others that were not. At the time, the manager stated he thought they were taking a large amount of medication and he walked to the front of the store to ensure they paid for the items. He notified his staff of a possible shoplifting occurring.
When the suspects approached the front of the store, he told them they needed to pay for the items. They said they were going to pay and then ran past the manager. As they did, one of the bags broke and the items fell to the floor. The suspects continued to run. They entered an early 2000s maroon Nissan Maxima that was driven by a fifth suspect, described as a black female. The theft occurred at 3:35 p.m.
Feb. 13
700 block of Greenridge Drive in La Cañada, a man stated when he returned to his home he found his office had been ransacked. He noticed that a laptop had been stolen. He then noticed the rear glass door of his home had been smashed. He entered his master bedroom and found it had been ransacked. He realized that jewelry and guns, a shotgun, semi-automatic pistol and rifle case, had been stolen.
Surveillance footage revealed a female described as having brown hair, 5’5” tall and 180 pounds, walking to the front door and ringing the bell several times. Her sweatshirt sleeve was pulled over her hands.
The residential burglary occurred at 6:30 p.m.
1900 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a sleeping bag, iPod, flashlights and keys were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between midnight and 8 a.m.
Feb. 12
4900 block of Cloud Avenue in La Crescenta, a women reported that a package delivered to her home that had several pairs of shoes in it had been stolen. The surveillance system shows a man take the package from her front porch, get into his car and drive off. The male suspect was described as Armenian, in his 20s with a beard. At the time of the theft he was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt. He was driving a late model white sedan.
The theft occurred at 12:38 p.m.
2000 block of Hilldale Drive in La Cañada, the interior of a vehicle was ransacked and sunglasses and rolls of quarters were stolen overnight.
1900 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a folding chair, seat cushion, phone charger, car cover and vehicle registration were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

2200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 31-year-old Los Angeles man was cited for driving under a suspended license at 12:14 p.m.
2200 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, a vehicle was vandalized with scratches overnight.

4400 block of Rosemont Avenue in Montrose, sunglasses, a gym bag and several personal items were stolen from a vehicle overnight.
