Crescenta Valley Town Council President Harry Leon has been notified he has been appointed as a commissioner on the Los Angeles County Advisory Commission for the Dept. of Consumer and Business Affairs.

“I am ecstatic,” Leon said of his appointment. “This community and this country have given me so much. This is a way I can pay [it forward].”

Commissioners are appointed by the LA County Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Kathryn Barger is the fifth district representative, which includes the Crescenta Valley.

“I would like to thank Supervisor Barger for giving me this opportunity,” Leon said.

Leon will be officially sworn into office on Friday.
