Public Art Meeting
The City of Glendale is having its last public meeting regarding the Public Art Master Plan, a guiding document that outlines how the city should spend $6 million in the Urban Art Fund to support arts in Glendale (including murals, sculptures, community festivals, arts organizations, etc.).

The meeting is tonight, Thursday, Feb. 1 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St. in Glendale. More info is available at https://www.facebook.com/events/622895984501296/.

Grapevine Pruning at Deukmejian
Help prepare for a good harvest in the early fall. Volunteers are needed at Deukmejian Wilderness Park on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 9 a.m. to prune the grapevines. Please bring small pruners, gloves, hat and proper shoes and attire for the outdoors. Light refreshments will be available.

Riverwalk Workday
Join the Glendale Narrows Riverwalk volunteers on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon for the Riverwalk Workday. Help is needed for the maintenance of the landscaped areas along the trail. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, protective clothing, including long pants, hat and sun protection. Those who have hand clippers and work gloves are asked to bring them along. Other tools will be available. Minors will need to have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Rosemont Preserve Open Gate Morning
Rosemont Preserve is having an “open gate” event on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is a chance to visit the Rosemont Preserve and wander the trail to enjoy the tranquil setting, the wildlife and the natural beauty. Visitors can also participate in the Rosemont Biodiversity Project and become a “citizen scientist!”

Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions.

The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes to walk the trail.

This event is free to the public and suitable for all ages. No reservations required, no pets please.

Tournament House Tours
Guided free tours inside the Tournament House, the iconic Southern California landmark, are open to the public. Tours will be offered, at no cost, every Thursday at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. beginning today, Feb. 1. Tournament of Roses volunteers from the Heritage Committee, knowledgeable of the organization’s history and details of the house, conduct the tours.

The estate serves as the official headquarters of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, its staff and the 935 volunteer members.

Beyond The Box Call For Artists
The Glendale Arts and Culture Commission has issued a call for artists to apply to paint murals on City of Glendale utility boxes on March 16 – 18. Thirteen utility box murals will be painted in various Glendale locations. Artists selected will receive a $750 stipend.
