Foothill Boulevard and Lasheart Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, a 29-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. A deputy found the man walking along Foothill Boulevard in the early morning hours. He stopped to see if the man was okay or lost. The man allegedly told the deputy the he needed a ride up the street and that he was a caretaker.
After an investigation, the deputy discovered a container with what appeared to be methamphetamine and a glass pipe often used in drug use in the man’s possession. He was arrested at 1:26 a.m.

2500 block of Los Amigos Street in La Crescenta, a man reported that a woman, described in her 40s with blonde hair, about 5’ 5” tall and weighing 130 pounds wearing a blue dress, came to a yard sale he was having at the location. The woman picked up a duffle bag with martial arts equipment and a ceramic panther. The man told the woman the items were for sale, not free. The woman took the items agreeing to come back and pay for them, but she never returned.
The incident occurred at 3:15 p.m.

800 block of Greenridge Drive in La Cañada, a deputy was responding to a call concerning a resident returning home to find her front door open in the 700 block of Starlight Heights. As he was patrolling the area using a searchlight, he noticed two men, a 23- and 27-year-old, both from Pasadena, entering the gate of a residence. Both were wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black gloves and black pants. The deputy noticed a BMW parked directly in front of the home.
He stood behind the front left quarter of the vehicle, drew his gun and told the men to lie on the ground. One complied immediately; the other man hesitated but finally complied. The deputy then looked into the vehicle that he had been using for cover and saw another male, a 27-year-old from Glendale, reclining in the driver’s seat as if attempting to hide. The deputy ordered him to get out of the vehicle and lay on the ground. He complied.
Assisting officers arrived and, after a search of the vehicle, discovered several items including jewelry, electronics and cash. There had been many residential burglaries in the area in recent weeks. The men at first denied knowing each other, but later admitted to being cousins.
All three were charged with attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. The Pasadena man was additionally charged with receiving stolen property. The arrests were made at 6:52 p.m.

Oak Grove Drive and Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 49-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance at 1:48 a.m.
