The rehabilitation of the Rosemont Reservoir is well underway as part of the FY20/21 capital improvement projects by Crescenta Valley Water District. The Rosemont Reservoir project is part of the District’s continuing efforts to provide residents with a safe and reliable water supply.
The Rosemont Reservoir is located in the 4700 block of Rosemont Avenue. The rehabilitation will concern the interior and exterior surfaces of the existing water storage tank, with improvements that will include interior and exterior coatings, a new staircase and seismic upgrades.
The water storage tank was initially installed in the 1950s and the last time it was rehabilitated was about 20 years ago.
“CVWD made great strides this year in terms of improving long-term infrastructure reliability. After securing its highest Standard and Poor’s (S&P) rating in District history, a two-position jump to AA-, the District was able to secure a low interest bond to support a three-year, $5,000,000 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget. To show the community what projects are being funded by bonds, you will see a new logo around town,” according to a CVWD statement.
Traffic in the area will not be affected as the work will be primarily contained within the reservoir.
