USC Verdugo Hills Hospital welcomed the birth of its first baby of the year. The baby boy was born to parents Heidi and Oscar Amador, and joins his stepsister Addison. He was born on Jan. 1 at 7:34 p.m. weighing 7 lbs., 10 oz.

Sara Cardine was the winner for the closest guess of the baby’s weight, and Phaedra Walton submitted the closest guess for time of birth.

The happy family received a generous gift basket form the CV Chamber of Commerce that should help the little baby boy settle in.
