AT&T Hearing Scheduled

A hearing for AT&T regarding the small cell placement on a utility pole just north of 4704 Briggs Ave. has been rescheduled to Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. It will be held at the County of Los Angeles, Dept. of Regional Planning, Zoning Permits East Section, 320 W. Temple St., Room 1346 in Los Angeles.

 

Dr. Lucy Jones featured in Glendale CoC Speaker Series

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce will host award-winning and well-known seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones, an expert in earthquake safety and science, as its February speaker in its Speaker Series. The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 6 starting at 7 a.m. at the Embassy Suites, 800 N. Dr. Lucy Jones is the founder of the Dr. Lucy Jones Center for Science and Society; the mission is to foster the understanding and effort to use scientific information that will create more resilient communities.

 

Rosemont Preserve Open Gate Morning

All are invited to the first “open gate” of the new year at the Rosemont Preserve on Sunday morning, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Visit the Preserve and wander the trail, enjoying the tranquil setting, the wildlife and the natural beauty. Photographers: Bring your camera to capture the early morning light and citizen scientists, bring your iNaturalist app to add to the wildlife sightings!

Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions.

This event is free to the public and suitable for all ages; no reservations required. Rain cancels event. Sorry, no pets please.

The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park, 5017 Rosemont Ave. Please wear sturdy shoes to walk the trail.
