CVHS Presents Music Dept. Finale
The CVHS Instrumental Music Department presents its final concert of the year on Friday, May 20 in MacDonald Auditorium at 4400 Ramsdell Ave. The theme for this year’s pops is “Magical Mystical Music.” Audiences will be treated to music from movies such as “Lord of the Rings” and “Harry Potter” and from Cirque de Soleil shows. The Concert Band will perform a John Williams medley including music from “Jaws” and “Star Wars” while the Symphony Orchestra will deliver Disney favorites.      The always-inventive CVHS Jazz Band will also perform themes from popular video games including “Halo.” A fun addition is the multi-media performance of “Godzilla Eats Las Vegas”!

St. Francis Drumline Performing
As part of the 2011 Festival of the Arts, the St. Francis High School Drumline presents The Alchemist on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, and May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Degheri Theater, St. Francis High School, 200 Foothill Boulevard, La Cañada.
