Assisteens, an auxiliary organization established nationwide by numerous Assistance League chapters, provides volunteer opportunities for students in grades seven through 12. The Assistance League of Flintridge program was established in 1967 and nearby communities have benefited from the charitable endeavors of this student-governed group ever since. For those who participate in Assisteens, the goal is to foster a meaningful engagement with the community as well as a sense of personal responsibility and compassionate initiative.

Assisteens meet one day a month throughout the school year to work on a variety of collaborative projects with special opportunities offered over the course of the season. Once a month Assisteens staff the Bargain Box Thrift Shop on Saturdays, side-by-side with ALF members to raise funds for their philanthropies. Meetings for Assisteens are held at the Assistance League of Flintridge Chapter House, which is located at 4607 Oakwood Ave. in La Cañada Flintridge. Students from La Cañada Flintridge and the nearby foothill communities are encouraged to sign up for this rewarding volunteer experience.

The 2025-26 Assisteens season runs from August to May. Online registration continues.
