Preschoolers from Valley Vista Preschool in Montrose donated nearly 100 new toys and books to the Spark of Love Foundation’s toy drive, hosted by Glendale Fire Dept. –  Station 29, on Friday, Dec. 12.

Every year students at Valley Vista Preschool, located around the corner from the Montrose firehouse, collect new toys and books then take the short walk to the station to drop off items. Since 2012, the school has practiced this tradition of giving back to its community and teaching the gift of service to its students. During the field trip, classes took pictures in front of the fire truck and with firefighters. Parents and family members also attended the field trip.

Valley Vista Preschool has been serving local families with children 2-6 years old since 1999, although the facility has been an operational preschool since the 1970s.
