Alex Hosts ‘Laugh It Off’

Streamed live from the stage of the iconic Alex Theatre in Glendale, the “2nd Annual Laugh It Off Comedy Night” welcomes a talented group of comics, including Matt Kirshen, Ty Barnett, Kristin Key, and Alonzo Bodden for a one-night-only event and encore performance of stories, reflections and, of course, laughs!

“Laugh It Off” is based on the simple idea that laughing along with others is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Whether laughing as a coping mechanism, enjoying the distraction or finding deep meaning in it, there is no doubting comedy’s incredible power. With difficulties and challenges all around us, there’s no better time to get laughing!

Note that on this Giving Tuesday, each “Laugh It Off” ticket purchase is a donation to Glendale Arts. After making a donation and before the event, the purchaser will receive information on how to watch the Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. Comedy Night. For more details or tickets go to https://bit.ly/3pXrbwu.
The goal of Glendale Arts is to raise $10,000 this Giving Tuesday. Financial gifts are an investment in the future of arts and cultural programming at the Alex Theatre as live streaming becomes a permanent option of its calendar of events. While nothing can take the place of in-person events, virtual attendance provides a safe alternative for participation in the arts for now and more than likely well into the future.

“Laugh It Off” is presented in partnership with the Greater Downtown Glendale Association.
