La Cañada Presbyterian Church and the LCPC Orchestra invite the entire community to Pops 2026: Broadway Showstoppers, a dazzling free concert celebrating one hundred years of Broadway’s most beloved and electrifying hits. The performance takes place on Sunday, May 17 at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary at 626 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada.

From the cornfields of Iowa to the cobblestones of Paris, Broadway has given the world some of the most thrilling moments in musical history — and every song on this program was a genuine showstopper. The LCPC Orchestra brings to life the greatest hits from iconic productions including “The Music Man,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Cats,” “Guys & Dolls,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Hello, Dolly!” and “Les Misérables” – and many more. 

Each selection captures the magic of opening night — the soaring melodies, the unforgettable characters and the pure theatrical joy that has kept audiences on their feet for a century.

Pre-Concert Conversation: The Stories Behind the Songs

Doors open and the music begins early! Audience members are encouraged to arrive at 1:30 p.m. for an engaging pre-concert talk with music director Jack Lantz, who will share the

fascinating backstories behind the musicals and the songs that made Broadway history. From backstage drama to cultural milestones, this insider conversation is a rare opportunity for audience members to deepen their appreciation of these timeless works before the orchestra takes the stage.
