An Afternoon of Opera at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church

Internationally recognized musicians will perform at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church on Feb. 23 at 2:30 p.m., continuing the spring concert series Sundays of Sound. Presented by Rhapsodia, an arts organization dedicated to showcasing emerging musicians and unique programs, the concert will feature works by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Borodin and more.

Performers include: Irina Polivanova (UA) – Soprano, graduate of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, with performances across Europe and Asia.

Sean Stanton (USA) – Baritone, with appearances at Central City Opera, Opera North, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Evangeliya Delizonas-Khukhua (RUS) – Pianist, prize-winning artist, and Doctor of Musical Arts student at USC Thornton School of Music.

The program includes “Lascia ch’io pianga” (Handel), “La ci darem la mano” (Mozart), “O mio babbino caro” (Puccini), “Polovtsian Dances” (Borodin), contemporary selections, a Ukrainian folk song and other works. 

Admission is free; donations support Rhapsodia’s mission of promoting emerging artists and curating memorable musical experiences.
