NOON CONCERTS OPEN TO PUBLIC
Glendale Noon Concerts is a free admission concert series taking place every first and third Wednesday from 12:10-12:40 p.m. in the newly restored chapel and sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Glendale (downtown at Louise & Wilson, no religious affiliation). All are encouraged to relax during their lunch hour with live music. Light lunch for purchase by Angela’s Bistro available for $6.

MOM’S CLUB HOLDING JANUARY MEETING
Mom’s Club of the Foothills, a support group for stay at home moms in the Crescenta Valley area, will hold its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14 at St. Luke’s Church (no religious affiliation) located at 2563 Foothill Blvd. Visitors and children welcome. MUSICA-MEXICO AT THE CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Santa Cecilia Orchestra presents Chamber Music Up Close featuring “Musica-Mexico.” “Musica-Mexico” is a celebratory concert of chamber music from the richest of musical repertoires with an unlikely twist. The event takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Center For The Arts in Eagle Rock. Performers include the Formalist Quartet of Julie Feves, bassoon, Gerardo Flores-Pacheco, flute and Juan Pablo Contreras, vocalist. Ticket pricing: $19, $12 (youth 17 and under).

PRESCHOOL EXPO PLANNED
The 3rd Annual Preschool Expo hosted by the Mom’s Club of the Foothills will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Presbyterian Church in La Crescenta. Multiple preschools will be present as well as kid related businesses. The Presbyterian church is located at 2902 Montrose in La Crescenta.

SUPPORT GROUP HOSTING DAY AT THE RACES
The Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group and the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce have teamed up again for the Second Annual Crescenta Valley Day at the Races. The event will take place at the Santa Anita Race Track on March 21.
The cost to participate in the event is $25 for adults (18 and over) and $15 for attendees that are 17 years and under. Each attendee will enjoy nine exciting Thoroughbred races, parking, official race program, BBQ lunch, soft drinks and expert handicapping advice from Rick Dinger. Once again, the event coincides with the Cal Rod Car Show that features hundreds of street rods, classics and customs on display in the infield.
There will also be a raffle and silent auction so everyone will have the opportunity to leave a winner. Proceeds from this event benefit both the CV Chamber and the CV Sheriff Support Group.

CVHS CLASS OF 2000 HAVING 10 YEAR REUNION
The Crescenta Valley High School class of 2000 is having its 10 year reunion on July 17, 2010. From 6:30 to 10 p.m. there will be a hosted bar, reception buffet and awesome door prizes. The event is being held at the ESPN Zone at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The cost is $75 per person if paid by Jan. 31; then $85 before April 30; $95 before June 30.
