The season opener for the La Crescenta Woman’s Club (LCWC) will be on Sept. 9. The luncheon and program will include the screening of the PBS and Netflix short- form documentary “Our Neighbors, the Peacocks” with award winning producer/director Callie Barlow. Known nationally for her work with NatGeo, she currently has an HBO mini-series “Monsters of God” about the illegal exotic pet trade. Barlow is based locally and her “Peacock” project was an entertaining labor of love.

All are invited at 10 a.m. for the welcome back meeting; at 11:30 a.m. the LCWC will have the screening and Q&A followed by a luncheon.

Attendance is free of charge, however seats are limited and reservations are
