July 29

4300 Belair Drive in La Cañada, a couple left their residence to take a walk around their neighborhood. When they returned about 45 minutes later they noticed a white four-door vehicle with tinted windows parked in front of their home. The man reported to the deputies that he felt there was something suspicious because he had not seen the car before in the area and he was concerned because of recent burglaries in the area. The couple reported hearing noises coming from their home and then saw flashlights inside the residence. The man reported hearing a woman’s voice inside the car, then he saw three men with black hooded sweatshirts run out of the residence and get into the waiting vehicle. The car then drove away, out of sight. The couple found their home had been ransacked. The only thing that appeared to be missing was some money from the man’s wallet.

The residential burglary occurred at 8:45 p.m.

 

Aug. 11

5300 block of Godbey Drive in La Cañada, someone vandalized the driver’s side front and rear tires of a vehicle overnight.

Aug. 8

1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman pulled into the parking lot at the location and was preparing to exit her vehicle. She opened the driver’s side door of her car and a man, described as white, wearing a black hat, white shirt and black shorts, approached her. The man grabbed the woman by the arm, pulled her out of her vehicle, and got into the car and drove away.

The car jacking occurred at 5:45 p.m. The car was found the next day in Canyon Country and a suspect was arrested.

 

Aug. 7

1500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman returned home from shopping at a couple of stores and found her wallet was missing from her purse. The theft occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

 

Aug. 5

3800 block of Park Place in Montrose, a garage shed door was pried open and several holiday decorations were stolen between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

 

Aug. 2

5100 block of Alta Canyada Road in La Cañada, personal items were stolen and a rear door window was shattered at a home between Aug. 2 and Aug. 5.

 

July 31

2800 block of Henrietta Avenue in La Crescenta, computers and jewelry were stolen from a home between 11:55 a.m. and 12:08 p.m.
