2400 block of Janet Lee Drive in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle. Surveillance video revealed a white, newer model Mercedes Benz GLE-class SUV drive up to the location and stop next to the victim’s vehicle. An unknown person, Suspect No. 1, exited the vehicle from the passenger side and the driver, Suspect No. 2, remained seated in the car. Suspect No. 1 stood by the rear of the vehicle for about a minute and then got back into the vehicle. The vehicle drove away. Deputies feel another person, Suspect No. 3, may have been under the victim’s vehicle but out of sight of the security camera.
The theft of the catalytic converter occurred at 3:32 a.m.
3100 block of Orange Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident noticed that the house’s mailbox was open and no mail was inside. Video footage revealed a white four door sedan parked in front of the location. A male was seen opening the mailbox, removing items from inside the box and then driving away at 3:03 a.m.

Big Tujunga Canyon Road at mile marker 9.2 in Angeles National Forest, a driver parked her vehicle, secured the vehicle and along with a friend went on a hike. When they returned they noticed the rear left passenger window had been shattered and several items were stolen from inside the vehicle. The vehicle burglary occurred between noon and 4 p.m.
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a burglary alarm. Upon arrival they noticed a glass window had been shattered. All doors were still secured. Security footage revealed two suspects approaching the location from the west side of Foothill Boulevard. They were seen laying down and crawling toward the west side entrance. After spending a few minutes laying on the floor, Suspect No. 1 crawled to the lower window and used an unknown tool to smash the window. Suspect No. 2 laid outside for a few minutes acting as an apparent look-out while Suspect No. 1 attempted to make entry. Suspect No. 1 gained entry inside the business; Suspect No. 2 followed. While inside both suspects crawled to the register where the security monitor was activated. Once activated both suspects ran out of the business.
Suspect No. 1 was wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants. Suspect No. 2 was wearing an orange blanket, dark sweatshirt and dark pants.
The burglary occurred at 4:30 a.m.

4900 block of Crown Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle overnight.
May 27
500 block of Meadow Grove Street in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported that when he returned home he found his gate open and a long chain had been cut. The chain was connected to the wall and ran through the openings of the front gate.
The vandalism occurred between May 27 at 9:30 p.m. and May 28 at 4:25 p.m.
