By Mary O’KEEFE Glendale Fire Dept. responded to a call concerning a structure fire in the 3900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 8:06 p.m. As of 9:59 p.m. the fire was contained and there were no injuries reported. Pennsylvania Avenue was closed in both directions as of 11:17 p.m. The fire is currently under investigation.

At 10:37 tonight, Saturday, CV Weekly confirmed by personnel at Mountview Retirement on Honolulu Avenue that the facility was being evacuated. Residents who had family members nearby were being picked up; others were being transferred to another Elmcroft facility in San Diego.
