Christmas treats in the Montrose Shopping Park (Part 2)

Mary Dawson

Do you have some time off this coming week? There are some great ways to spend it in the Montrose Shopping Park. A trip to The T Room is good for the soul. Esma and staff have done such a wonderful job decorating it. What better thing to do then enjoy a cup of Christmas tea, some delicious tea sandwiches, and fresh-baked desserts. While you are there stop in The Wine Cave, pick up a bottle of their boutique wine, and see their “studio worthy” holiday windows. Total Graphics is also close by. Stop in and meet Serge, the man responsible for wrapping many of our trees with dazzling lights. The same meticulous talent is evident in the signs they produce.

On your way to the 2200 block, the holidays aren’t complete without a trip Joselito’s. I can just taste those chips & salsa. The chips always have some red and green ones included for color. I am hoping I find Merle Norman under my tree. They may still have some of their gift with purchase left. For $25 with a $50 purchase you get a giant black tote filled with goodies. You hear that Santa? By the way, did you know that one of Martha Stewart’s former make up artists does facials in town? Gigi DeLeon is booking appointments now at Spa Pura, (818) 249-7872.

Paradis ice cream now has Apple Cinnamon, Cranberry Sorbet, and Egg Nog flavors for a limited time only. Revelation Tops has fresh, new tops that you can wear now and into the new year. Tunics and leggings continue to be the star of the show. If it’s elegance you are craving, Holiday Hats & Gowns and Victori-Ana fit the bill. Both stores offer beautiful gift-wrap and have good-taste things you won’t find in the chains.

Let’s end on a sweet note with a visit to Montrose Candy Co. Their selection keeps growing with all kinds of novelty candy. My fave are the rose scented mints from France. They taste like roses smell, a perfect stocking stuffer for the person who has everything. To see pics of these fun stores go to www.shopmontrose.com and click on our blog. Our many restaurants offer a peaceful alternative to all the hustle and bustle of the season. Bring the whole family! A very Merry Christmas to you!
