Chamber Prepares for Annual Banquet

The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its annual recognition banquet that is taking place on Oct. 16 starting at 6 p.m. at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. The event honors those who make a difference in the community, go above and beyond in making the Crescenta Valley a safer place, contribute to the community and help guide future leaders.

Awardees include Mary O’Keefe – Woman of the Year, Mike Baldwin – Man of the Year, Prom Plus – Organization of the Year, John Giblin – Volunteer of the Year, Cynthia Livingston – Educator of the Year and Daniel Ghazarian from Crescenta Valley High School – Student of the Year. The beautification award will be presented to First Baptist Church of La Crescenta. Straw Hat Pizza in La Crescenta was named Business of the Year and Vito Cannella was named the recipient of the Don Carpenter Award. Chamber president Steve Pierce notified the winners with support from fellow chamber board members.

Safety personnel will also be recognized at the Oct. 16 event.
