Great Things at 2017 Expo

Another Foothills Community Business Expo filled the community room at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital yesterday. We’d like to thank the hospital for once again laying out the welcome mat for a community-building event. The Chamber would also like to thank the many sponsors that helped make this event possible.

Our major sponsors were Southern California Edison, Athens Services, Crescenta Valley Weekly and The Outlook newspapers. Athens provided two trucks to handle the long line of residents who came for the free paper shredding event. Thank you to Pat

Anderson at the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber for coordinating the shredding.

Generous gold sponsors came from all three chambers. We’d especially like to thank our CV Chamber members: Crescenta Cañada Pet Hospital, Hydrex Pest Control & Termite, J’s Maintenance/J’s Maids, Chris Aristo of State Farm Insurance, Wells Fargo at Foothill & Pennsylvania and YMCA of the Foothills.

Our silver sponsors included Bonners Party Rentals, Crescenta Valley Insurance, Crippen Mortuary, EmbroidMe Glendale, Foothill Municipal Water District, Glendale Federal Credit Union, Jenkins Property Management, Montrose Travel, Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Twelve Oaks Senior Living. We couldn’t have done it without you!

And everyone’s favorites – our restaurant sponsors! They bring the food that brings the happy attendees! Thank you to Dream Dinners La Crescenta, Menchie’s Eagle Rock, Gio’s Baguettes & More, Frank’s Famous Kitchen & Catering, Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Luna Grill. Yum!

And finally, thank you to the exhibitors who lugged literature, displays and giveaways to the event. We hope you met some new clients and caught up with old friends. We also appreciate the prizes you brought for the many raffles we had throughout the evening.

Thanks to Mike Perry for being our master of ceremonies and DJ extraordinaire. And a special shout-out to Glendale Police Officer Michelle Gonzales and the Glendale Police Explorers who helped set up and clean up the exhibits. There were many other volunteers and ambassadors who also helped out. Thank you!

If you missed the Expo, put it on your calendar for next year when we will host the 18th Annual Expo on Sept. 12, 2018.
