Learning About Design on the Square

Design on the Square is a full service architecture firm founded in 2006 by Brian Viehland, AIA. Brian joined the business networking community of the Montrose~Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce in 2016. This firm does residential, commercial, recreational and corporate architectural work in California, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and provides design consulting and project management services across the country.

A great feature of Design on the Square’s service is the consulting. Brian brings to his customers’ projects a wealth of education and experience. When you look at the projects completed by Design on the Square you can see the client’s vision take form. With more than 15 years of design experience, the firm has completed projects in the areas of restaurant design, retail and corporate interiors, multi- and single-family residences, educational and recreational facilities, and religious institutions. Historic restorations are another unique service offered by Design on the Square.

Brian is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is an active member of the local area chambers. He has also worked in support of the Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now®. He has personally raised funds to support the efforts to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus. He is a supporter of organizations and people doing good and positive things in their community. He not only does great professional work as an architect, but also does great work as a human being. When you are committed to your family and want them to live in a good world, it’s important to be active in helping the surrounding community.
