Summer Beach Bus in ON

Summer is on and the Beach Bus is rolling. Thanks to the LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the City of La Cañada Flintridge and the County of Los Angeles, you can once again ride the Summer Beach Bus! The Beach Bus picks up passengers from several places in the Crescenta Valley and takes them to and from the Santa Monica Pier to enjoy a great day at the beach! The best part is you don’t have to drive and hassle the traffic, look for a parking space or pay the $12 fee to park! It drops you off right next to the pier so you can not only enjoy playing in the water and lying in the sun, but you can head to the pier for games, rides and food. Passengers can board the Summer Beach Bus starting June 13 through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4. It runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Labor Day. Space is limited for the Beach Bus so you must make reservations! It’s easy to plan ahead because you can make a reservation up to 10 days in advance. To make a reservation log on to www.lagobus.info. You only pay $3 per person to the bus driver when you get on the bus. Just a reminder: Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Here are the schedules for pick up and drop off. Pick Up: Two Strike Park/Rosemont Avenue at 9:15 a.m., La Crescenta Library/2809 Foothill Boulevard at 9:25 a.m., Montrose Avenue/Ocean View Boulevard (southeast corner) at 9:35 a.m. Drop Off: Two Strike Park at 4:30 p.m., the La Crescenta Library at 4:35 p.m., Montrose Avenue/Ocean View Boulevard (SE corner) at 4:45 p.m., depending on the traffic.

So grab a bunch of your friends and make a day of it! If you have any questions, please call (626) 458-3909 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

This year’s Tri-Chamber Foothills Business Expo is on Wednesday Sept. 13 at the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. We are in the process of looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsorship will allow you to reach the members of all three local chambers of commerce and more. Exhibitor applications, featuring our sponsors, will be sent to members of all three chambers next month. Sponsors’ names will be listed on all Expo promotions and in advertisements for the Expo in two local newspapers, the Crescenta Valley Weekly and the La Cañada Flintridge Outlook, with a combined circulation of 40,000-plus. Your sponsorship of the Foothills Community Business Expo is a unique opportunity for your business to receive unparalleled local exposure. The event will feature exhibits of regional businesses and community organizations. Exhibitors will be encouraged to provide employment information, volunteer opportunities and school-to-career information. This is a great way to advertise your business and meet potential new clients from Montrose, La Crescenta and La Cañada. If you are interested in participating, please contact the Montrose Chamber Office.
